Stitching Unity: Upcycled Cushion for Connection

At the forefront of our collaborative effort, this interactive piece represents a bold commitment to upcycling and sustainability. In partnership with three colleagues and inspired by a shared concern for the disconnection among students within our university community, we embarked on a mission during a Droog Design workshop. Our goal: to repurpose discarded clothing into a 10-meter cushion, ingeniously transforming waste into a communication tool. By collecting sample clothes destined for disposal and breathing new life into them, we not only championed upcycling but also fostered meaningful connections among students. This initiative serves as a testament to the transformative power of collaboration, sustainability, and innovative design.
