Embodied Landscapes
Growing up surrounded by the mountains of Seoul, I learned to see them as more than just hills. They felt alive, like they had their own personalities. I saw parts of myself in them, like how a rock could be a stand-in for a nose or a tree a symbol of strength like an arm. This way of seeing things influenced my art. I try to capture the deep connections between nature and ourselves, mixing in layers of culture and personal reflection. Through my art, I hope people can see the mountains as more than just scenery, but as mirrors reflecting our own stories and journeys.
